Kathleen Slack

I am the Family and Consumer Science Teacher at Mount Desert Island High School. I grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts and  received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In addition to teaching in New Jersey and Ohio I have work experience as a Home Economist at a flavor company, office manager at a sailing club and even have driven a truck! Together with my husband and children I owned and operated a boat rental business in Bar Harbor and we still do some of that in Southwest Harbor.  I am the Learning Area Leader for Health, Family and Physical Education.
